SAFETY NOTIFICATION

Kolcraft Safety Notification upgrade for Portable Cot.
Kolcraft Enterprises Inc., of Chicago, Illinois, U.S.A., is issuing a safety notification upgrade for about 2000 Jeep Sahara Limited XT portable cots. The portacot’s side rail can fail to latch properly and when a child pushes against the rail it can unlatch unexpectedly, posing a fall hazard to children. No injuries have been reported in Australia. There have been 21 bumps, scrapes and bruises reported in the United States as well as one possible concussion.

Four Kolcraft playpens sold in Australia are included in this recall. The recalled play yards are model number 55237-JQ, 72237T-JQ, 72234-XC, and 72234T-JQ sold under the “Jeep” by Kolcraft brand. The model number is printed on a white sticker located on one of the feet of the play yard.
The play yards were distributed by Born with Style and sold through specialty baby stores plus Baby Target from 2002 through 2007.

Consumers should immediately stop using the portable cot and contact Born with Style at 02 9816 3837 between 9 am -5 pm Monday through Friday to order a free repair kit. Do not use the portable cot until the repair kit is installed.
